Although we know that following Jesus is the best decision we could have ever made in our lives - giving us a joy we’ve never known before - we also acknowledge that sometimes it doesn’t feel like it.  Sometimes, in fact, it feels completely opposite; and it is during those times we should draw closer to God.  It is during those times we should remember Jesus and why He came.  As we go through this advent season of celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, the Gospels are ever so present reminding us of why (John 3:16) and that He came to offer rest to those who are weary and heavy-laden (Matthew 11:28).

Make up your mind today to not allow the devil to cause you to be stressed about anything going on in your life.  Make up your mind to receive life and life more abundantly as promised by Jesus in John 10:10.  Make up your mind to believe that God really does care about you.   “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”  (1 Peter 5:6-7).  “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”  (John 10:10)

Have a blessed and joyful Christmas remembering Jesus is the reason for the season!

Have Faith...
He Will Do It!

Our commitment to God is not always convenient, but it pleases our Father when we have a made up mind to be committed; doing it His way and not ours.

When we commit ourselves to doing it His way, it pleases Him because it takes faith and a surrendered heart in order to do so.  To say "no" to those things that we know are not pleasing unto God nor glorify Him, and  "yes" to the things that are and do, takes faith.  If we remember Jesus and what He did for us on Calvary’s Cross, we can do it!  We can be faithful.

“Set Apart”

My prayer for you on today or on the day
that you are reading this blog and
have a willingness to receive it,
is that God overwhelms you this week or
during the week of your reading
with His sanctifying spirit
so that you are able to live in sustained victory;
glorifying Him in every area of your life.

As you bask in the things of God
made possible by JEHOVAH God,
I pray that your eyes are supernaturally opened
to see that which God has ordained for you to see and
that your ears are spiritually unplugged to hear
only that which God has ordained for you to listen to.

I pray that you are strengthened to resist
the road that leads to destruction;
keeping your eyes on the Cross and remembering
that Great One who was wounded for your transgressions
and bruised for your iniquities
so that you can live and not die.
Yes, live and not die!
In Jesus Christ Mighty Great Name I pray.

It’s a MARVELOUS MONDAY today because you are in it!  The “JOY OF THE LORD” is our strength and oftentimes the devil - who is the accuser of the brethren, father of lies, and destroyer of them that love TRUTH - comes to steal, kill, and destroy it.  Don’t let him!  As Believers we have the power not to fall for Satan’s trickery and deceit.   Hold on to your JOY, hold on to the TRUTH, and hold on to our LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, who gives us life and life more abundantly!  Because of Him, we have the victory! (Nehemiah 8:10, John 8:44, Revelations 5:10, John 10:10, 1 Corinthians 15:57)
