We all know why the athletes are kneeling. We know that it has nothing to do with their lack of love for this GREAT country despite the evil that still permeates throughout it. We know that some of the same atrocities that occurred during the transatlantic slave trade, Jim Crow period and Civil Rights Movement are still occurring today in 2017 regarding the senseless murders and racist treatment of Black lives. This is why the athletes are kneeling.
This is why Muhammad Ali chose jail over being inducted into the U.S. Army to go fight in Vietnam. This is why Tommie Smith and John Carlos raised their fists at the Olympic Prize Ceremony in protest of the racist 1960’s. This is why Colin Kaepernick kneeled last year in 2016. And this is why all of us should be kneeling and praying to God to put an end to the wickedness of racism that continues to exist in the United States of America. Enough is enough! It has nothing to do with the flag nor love for country and more so everything to do with the evil that we have allowed to go on for centuries. Let's come out of the closet of self imposed "nationalism" cloaked in American patriotism. I am an honorably discharged U.S. Army Veteran, and I applaud all of the kneeling for the innocent Black blood shed in the name of hatred. Enough is enough!
Our youth deserve better. We inherited a mess that should not be passed on as a legacy of pride. We should be preparing our future generations to compete in the global economy – TOGETHER – as ONE NATION UNDER GOD and not preparing them to fight one another based on America's “old” failures and sins of the past whose venomous bite will be to our detriment if not finally treated.
Genesis 3:1-4 (Amplified Bible)
The Fall of Man
Now the serpent was more crafty (subtle, skilled in deceit) than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And the serpent (Satan) said to the woman, “Can it really be that God has said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees of the garden, 3 except the fruit from the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God said, ‘You shall not eat from it nor touch it, otherwise you will die.’” 4 But the serpent said to the woman, “You certainly will not die!
