Sin: Although many people may shun the topic, the necessity for Christ’s blood for salvation remains.

It's All Relevant (Day 8)

It’s all relevant in the scheme of things, and I believe my God does not make mistakes. He’s an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God whose “eyes are in every place beholding the evil and the good.” In His infinite wisdom, He knew I would be right here, right now, at this place, during this time writing this blog. And He also knew that you would be reading it. He knew in the late 1980's when he sent the woman who lived down the hall from me and my lesbian lover to ask us to attend a Frederick K.C. Price revival meeting with her that I would say yes even though my partner would say no. God knew that I was yearning for a deeper walk with Him, and He had already prepared Reverend Price - who was waiting for me along with hundreds of others at New York City’s Madison Square Garden - to preach a word that I needed to hear.

TESTIFY! (Day 31)

What glory does God get when His children are silent about Who He is, what He has done, and what He is continuing to do in their lives? Isn’t the Word of God filled with testimonies about the lives of those who were converted, healed, and set free after experiencing the Spirit of God in the Old Testament and Jesus Christ in the New?

God put us all in folks’ business. He made sure we knew who they were before who they became. I surmise that if it was left up to Moses we wouldn’t have ever heard about how he killed a man. But God told it. And, oh boy, do you think King David would have openly testified about how he had a man sent to the front lines of war to be killed so that he could pursue the man’s wife who he lusted after? Perhaps not. But God made sure we knew all about it.

Who's Really Standing In The Need of Prayer?
Admittedly, there have been several issues that I have struggled with as a Christian in terms of having a spiritual understanding of how I believe God views those matters. Before any conclusions are drawn by me, fervent prayer and study of the scriptures have gone forth.

For example, homosexuality. I no longer struggle with that issue and believe God loves homosexuals in the same way He loves heterosexuals, hands down. I do draw some distinctions about how I believe God views sex and marriage for the homosexual and heterosexual. However, this blog is not about those distinctions, and I thank God that He did not charge me with such a writing task at this time since those issues require a delicate and in-depth textual approach. It would have been exhausting committing my understanding of this matter to paper. Thank You, Jesus, I did not have to do it at this time! Whew!
